Asha Rai

My name is Asha Rai Wyatt. I am 12 years old. I was with Prior Weston Primary School for eight years - from nursery until year 6. I had many good times in this school, whether that's going to competitions while being coached by my P.E teacher (William), having the best time with friends or going on trips. I am also so grateful to all the TAs, teachers, receptionists and staff in Prior Weston - from Kiran in reception, to Julie in year 4 and Aoife in year 6.

Prior Weston has also opened up many opportunities for me, such as music masters. Music masters is a music program for young children, and I was very cheerful when I was invited to join. It all started when I was introduced to violin in my first years of primary school and was taught by my amazing violin teachers Rosanne, Freya and Callum. I got to perform in many places like the national gallery, V&A museum, Royal Academy of Music, Scottish house and the Wigmore Hall throughout the program. I also got to perform and work with people / groups such as the Harlem Quartet, Sterling Elliot and Love Ssega!

Last September, I started Secondary school at St Marylebone CE School with a music (violin) scholarship. I have been enjoying my time there greatly, and adjusted well to the different environment. Although I was doubtful, I managed to make new friends, meet new teachers, greet new classrooms and welcome a whole new space. In August 2025, I also joined a week-long music Residency course program at Young Grittleton in Wiltshire, and in December I was part of a fundraising Christmas event at Scottish House Westminster as a Music Masters Champion (graduate). And I am looking forward to more future endeavours as a Music Master Champion.

I am forever grateful to Prior Weston Primary School, Music Masters and my friends for opening so many new doors for me, and making my time so memorable and exciting!
