Esra

Since leaving primary school, Esra has held a scholarship at the Royal College of Music Junior Department studying with Sophie Simpson for three years and regularly participates in competitions, including performing at Downing Street. She achieved ABRSM Grade 8 violin with distinction and Grade 5 Theory.

She performs and leads weekly in a home-educated orchestra, choir, and quartet, led by opera singer and Alexander Technique teacher Kate Fun, and takes part in seasonal baroque performances with HEYSO Home Educated String Orchestra under Karin Björk.

Esra has also secured places with National Children’s Orchestra residentials and National Youth Orchestra Inspire for 2 years. She has participated in the English Schools Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Benedetti sessions, and Pro Corda courses on scholarship.

Esra regularly performs at prestigious London venues through Music Masters “Events for Champions” and hopes to continue at the RCM Junior Department, progress to the main NYO orchestra, and pursue a music diploma (ABRSM or BTEC Level 3) en route to a Bachelor’s degree in Music.
